Food Exchange System

I've learned in time that all these dietary groups have one thing in common. That is the food exchange system.
We all grew up learning about the food charts and the servings to have daily. Well, the food exchange is no differ.

The exchange system does help when used right to moderate the proper daily portions for a balance meal. And it doesn't matter who tells it. TOPS, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, NutriSystem or even your own doctors.
It's the same thing.

Recipe of the Day: Bundt Pan Roast Chicken | Food Network

Will be making something like this for supper tonight along with some homemade biscuts

Weights and Measurements

There's been misinformation that many people who wants to lose weight but doesnt know the facts. The reason is that they want a quick fix. The truth is, there is no such thing.
me back in 2015 Halloween
Yeah sure, you could do the surgery. But, you have to follow your doctor's orders. That includes seeing a dietian, physical theropist and a physchotrist. You have to follow a strict diet requirements. And if lucky in the end and you have all the extra skin after the surgery, you will be needing extra surgery to help correct the saggy skin. So, on average it might take close to 2 plus years to get the body you want and hundreds of dollars.
The fact is that people don't understand is you can change how you eat, what you eat and your activity level and you will feel and see the difference sooner then they think.
Here is a good example. I, myself at the start of 2017, weighed at 289 almost 300. I just had knee sugery months before New Years. I was depress and didn't like how my weight was or how I looked. Plus, i was close to become a diabetic like some people in my family. And I just learned that heart disease runs in the family as well and weight is a big factor in that.

I wanted to change and I was determined to do so.

"How?" you might be asking. Since, I was still in a knee brace, I had limits in activities that I could do.
First off, I still had the stretching exercises from my physical therapist that I can use for a start. Plus, I live on the second floor. So, the stairs became a part of my routine.

Second, I got rid of my large plates and replace them with a 7"/8" salad plates and only eating one serving. If I was hungry 10 to 15 minutes afterwards then I get a smaller portion and stick to my veggies more then the startches (potatoes, pastas and rice) and meats.
Third, I cut out alot of unwanted foods. Such as, pastries, sweets (still kept my dark chocolate, but cut it down to 1 peice per week), chips, sodas, fried foods and fast foods.
I began drinking more water, teas, juices (100%, not the concentrated) and coffee with 1tsp of sugar or 2Tbsp of flavor creamer.
After doing this for about 2 weeks, I started to see the difference in my clothes (3X). Then, after a month, i begin to see the difference in my weight.
This here is where i learned that you will feel the difference before seeing the results. Yes, it take time, but it is natural and healthier doing it this way then rushing into it. For there is a greater chance of the whole thing to backfire and you will regain the weight and more that you try to loose.
Don't get depress or turned down all cause it's taking forever to get the body you want.
Set up a goal and talk it over with your doctor. They can help and get you the proper information you need. Plus, you can join local dietary groups such as, TOPS, Weight Watchers, etc. They are great supporters which is another factor that we all need. Support. From friends and loved ones. For we are not alone on this journey.

4-Week 100 Ab Challenge in Bed! (Strong Core, Flat Tummy)

Like most, I usually find it hard to get up out of bed to go off to the gym and do an hour or two workout.

But, I found few good programs that you can do right in bed as soon as you either wake up or just getting into and this girl, Joanna Soh is the best. I love her work.
