Hello Everyone! Happy September!
Wow, this month came upon us fast. Besides my weekly posts and keeping busy with all the happenings with work, I totally missed out on August's videos that I had said to do.
So, today is going to be a busy day for me. Besides this post which is a good incentive addition, I will be trying to get several videos done up that I have promised to attend.
Anyways, how is everyone doing and what are your thoughts so far on these weekly incentives. Are they helping you with improvements in your life? Have you spoken to your physicians yet about any of this to get their inputs?
As the weeks pass, we add a new incentive. Just to keep in mind. We are now up to week 11, which in my opinion is important for everyone's health. The majority of us learned this back in health class in high school or our doctors/dietitians review them with us.
Speaking of reviews, let us review the past 10 incentives that we've done so far.
Get Plenty of SleepStay Hydrated
- Stay Active Daily
- Keep Food Journal
- Be Optimistic (don't worry, be happy)
- Take Multivitamin Supplements
- Keep Dust and Allergens Outside of Home
- 4-6 Servings of Veggies Daily
- Enjoy Time to Self
- 20 Minutes Stretches, 3x a week
This week's incentive is to be familiar with Nutrition Labels.
Reading the labels on the side or on the back part of any food package helps us understand what we are putting into our bodies and the bodies of our loved ones. They help give us the idea of our average intake of calories, fats, proteins, and carbohydrates that enter our systems.
This is to be sure that we are eating right and is following the recommendations from our doctors or dietitians. Plus, depending on what programs we are following. Such as keto, maintain weight, weight loss, weight gain, muscle mass, etc.
To me, this is always an important part of whenever I do my shopping, plus you can also download apps to help and assist you in finding the right products for yourself and your family.
Wishes you all a good weekend, stay safe and healthy.
