Talk about a rude awakening!
Was just relaxing, getting things ready for bed, have work in the morning when suddenly...
There were running and shouting in the hallway, hearing a lot of crashing noises, especially on the upper floor.
Hubby went out to investigate on top of having his usual smoke for the night and here we had 15 to 20 sheriff deputies running through the building. We asked an officer about what was going on. They had received word that there were people in the building that wasn't supposed to be there.
We asked about ourselves, and we were notified that we were okay, that we were supposed to be there. So, we sat watching as the officers, kicks in and roam through the building. There were a few squatters upstairs, a couple that we didn't know about. But, I was surprised to learn that the young family just next to the stairway, was asked to leave as well.
But, talk about an exciting evening it was.
